In contrast to classic drykilns, the wood is moved on transport trolleys through theprogressive kiln and exposed to different climatic conditions. Depending on the wood type, dimension, initial moisture content and desired final moisture content, the channel dryer is designed with different climate zones. The filling and transport through the dryer is done by means of a fully automatic loading system.

Safety is paramount
In order to avoid personal injury and damage to the plant, Mühlböck progressive kilns contain a large number of safety devices provided. In order to avoid disruptions and damage to the system caused by oversized parcels or incorrectly loaded transport trolleys, the parcel dimensions are monitored.
In addition, photoelectric sensors and various emergency stop switches ensure safe operation the plant.
